Teenage Engineering has made its smallest mixer yet. The EP-136 K.O.-SIDEKICK is a two-channel stereo mixer with a built-in speaker, built to pair with the EP-133 K.O. II and the EP-1320 medieval.

The appeal is portability without compromise. Most mixers that fit in a pocket sacrifice either sound or control; the EP-136 keeps both, with a real speaker, faders and effects in a device that runs on two AAA batteries.

The EP-136 is a two-channel stereo mixer with a built-in speaker, stereo inputs, and 6 built-in effects: delay, reverb, distortion, chorus, lowpass filter and a compressor, plus an input mute for live performance. It pairs with the EP-133 K.O. II and the EP-1320 medieval, which already have a mixer built in; the EP-136 extends that setup for external gear and other sources. Pricing starts at $249, and the EP-136 is available now from Teenage Engineering's website and selected retailers.

A small, clever mixer that will appeal most to existing EP owners, but also works as a first step into the system.
