Seiko has marked its 145th anniversary with a set of Edo Purple editions, applying a historic Japanese purple to watches across five of its collections.
Edo Purple is a colour with a specific history in Japan, tied to the Edo period and to the dyeing traditions of the time. Using it across five collections at once turns an anniversary into a coherent colour story rather than a series of unrelated limited editions.
The Edo Purple editions span five Seiko collections: Prospex, Presage, Astron, King Seiko and Seiko 5 Sports. The Prospex edition is the HBJ005, a diver with a purple dial and bezel. Pricing was not listed on a reachable Seiko page during this pass, so no prices are included here.
