The James Brand has released the Helton multi-tool and the Lumen Collection, the result of a three-year rethink of the Swiss-style pocket tool, announced on October 22, 2026.

A three-year rethink is a long time to spend on a pocket tool, and it shows in the details that matter for daily carry: locking tools and a steel chosen for edge retention rather than novelty.

The Helton has locking tools and VG-10 steel, is priced at $179, and is joined by the Lumen Collection, a five-piece colour capsule.
