Sonos has returned to the system that built the brand, launching two essential speakers for the home: the new Sonos Play and a streamlined Sonos Era 100 SL.

After years in which Sonos's software story overshadowed its hardware, this pair reads as a deliberate reset. Both speakers are built around the basics the brand is known for: easy setup, a shared system and sound that works in a room rather than on a spec sheet.

Sonos Play: $299\. Sonos Era 100 SL: $189\. Sonos Play features: A new signature speaker with a 19.6 cm woofer and a revised tweeter arrangement. Sonos Era 100 SL features: A streamlined version of the Era 100 without a microphone or voice control. Availability: Pre-orders open now; both speakers ship February 18, 2026.

A welcome reset: two clear, sensibly priced ways into a system that is meant to last.
