The Envelope Wallet is a new format for Secrid, the Dutch wallet maker best known for its aluminium Cardprotector and the lever that fans cards out in one motion. Instead of the familiar book or bifold shape, this wallet borrows the form of a paper envelope, with a button closure and a storage compartment that unfolds when you open it. In Pebble Cappuccino, the leather has an embossed pebble grain. It made the cut because it answers the main complaint about ultra-minimal card wallets, which is where the coins, a folded note, a spare key token or a photo are supposed to go. Secrid says the Envelope holds four embossed or six flat cards inside RFID protection, two extra cards in the exterior wrap, plus business cards, receipts and more than eight coins or small items. That is everyday carry solved in one compact piece rather than a wallet plus a coin pouch. Secrid lists the Envelope Wallet Pebble in Cappuccino at EUR 79 on its European store, alongside Ice-Blue and Butter Yellow versions of the Pebble leather, which is European cowhide made in Italy. The wallet is made in Europe, assembled in Dutch sheltered workshops, carries RFID protection for the main card compartment and comes with a two-year warranty, extendable by registration. Verdict: the most complete Secrid yet for people who still carry more than cards.
