The Emira 420 Sport is the new top of the Emira range, and Lotus positions it plainly: the most powerful, lightest and most aerodynamically capable Emira it has built. It takes the four-cylinder Emira formula and pushes every number that matters in the direction Lotus buyers actually care about, at a moment when the Emira stands as the last petrol-powered car in the company's line-up. It made the cut because the gains are specific rather than decorative. The 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces 420 PS and 500 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, which is enough for 0-62 mph in 3.9 seconds and a 186 mph top speed. Fitted with the Lightweight Handling Pack, the car is 25 kg lighter than the Emira Turbo and generates 25 kg more downforce, a pairing that speaks directly to how a Lotus should feel on a good road. Lotus's own Emira pages also list the removable roof, first seen on earlier open-air Lotuses, as an option on the 420 Sport alongside the Turbo SE and V6 SE. In Europe the 420 Sport starts at EUR 129,900, before options, taxes and delivery charges. Lotus opened ordering at the May 26, 2026 announcement, with customer deliveries expected from August 2026\. The verdict: a sharpened, numbers-honest farewell-era Emira, and the one to have if the four-cylinder car is your Lotus
